# NanoArc Chemistry Library This directory contains chemistry and phase-change-material research for NanoArc. It does not define approved ACE electrical behavior or establish a production safety claim. ## Directory map | Directory | Contents | |---|---| | `PCM_Cells/` | Test-cell design, qualification, and generated PDFs | | `SAT/` | Sodium acetate trihydrate preparation and crystallization work | | `Hydrogels/` | Alginate and agar electrolyte-carrier screening plans | | `Specimens/` | Records for locally held or collected material specimens | | `Proposals/` | Broader PCM, cartridge, and post-NanoArc research proposals | | `SDS/` | Safety data sheets and supplier-documentation notes | | `LAB_EQUIPMENT_INVENTORY.md` | Confirmed chemistry equipment, workspace disposition, and capability limits | | `LAB_EQUIPMENT_UPGRADE_QUEUE.md` | Trigger-based purchases, acceptance tests, and shared-budget rules | | `References/` | Papers and other technical references | | `Images/` | Source-material photographs and experiment evidence | ## Current working sequence 1. Complete the mandatory fixed-probe, vessel-support, and water-only fixture rehearsal described in [`LAB_EQUIPMENT_UPGRADE_QUEUE.md`](LAB_EQUIPMENT_UPGRADE_QUEUE.md). 2. Perform the approved but exploratory, nonqualified `SAT/SAT-HM-001` process rehearsal. 3. Qualify documented SAT stock for formal work using [`SAT/SAT_STOCK_QUALIFICATION.md`](SAT/SAT_STOCK_QUALIFICATION.md). Household `SAT-HM-001` material is not formally qualified by that rehearsal. 4. Procure, build, and qualify the common 5 g test-cell family using [`PCM_Cells/NanoArc_PCM_Test_Cell_Qualification_Rev0.md`](PCM_Cells/NanoArc_PCM_Test_Cell_Qualification_Rev0.md). 5. Establish empty, water, pure-SAT, and manually seeded baselines. 6. Obtain Tristan's approval for the draft crystallization-route protocol, then execute its chemical-nucleator, retained-seed, and on-demand branches without combining mechanisms prematurely. 7. Feed reviewed, characterized results into cartridge development only after the preceding evidence is complete. Planning is not execution: the PCM-cell protocol is approved but uncompleted, the crystallization route remains a draft unless separately approved, and the hydrogel carrier screen is an approved plan whose materials and fixtures are not yet procured or tested. The broader candidate backlog is maintained in [`Proposals/Chemistry_Applications_Idea_Register.md`](Proposals/Chemistry_Applications_Idea_Register.md). The approved benign carrier screen is maintained in [`Hydrogels/NanoArc_Hydrogel_Electrolyte_Carrier_Screen_Rev0.md`](Hydrogels/NanoArc_Hydrogel_Electrolyte_Carrier_Screen_Rev0.md). Its physical prerequisites are listed in [`Hydrogels/HYDROGEL-CARRIER-001_PREREQUISITES.md`](Hydrogels/HYDROGEL-CARRIER-001_PREREQUISITES.md). SAT stock intake and disposition are recorded in [`SAT/SAT_STOCK_QUALIFICATION.md`](SAT/SAT_STOCK_QUALIFICATION.md); reference and SDS gaps are tracked in [`References/REFERENCE_GAPS.md`](References/REFERENCE_GAPS.md) and [`SDS/SDS_GAPS.md`](SDS/SDS_GAPS.md). ## Configuration-management note The Chemistry workspace was audited on 2026-08-15. No collision-suffixed copy of this README or `Proposals/Chemistry_Applications_Idea_Register.md` exists under the NanoArc workspace. The unsuffixed files are therefore the canonical current files; no historical duplicate was removed.
